Kornylak Can Help In Planning Your Pallet Flow System

Kornylak can help in palling your live storage system. When planning your Palletflo® controlled gravity, live storage rack system, Kornylak can help with advice, comparison of storage forms, case histories, system layouts and actual tests. Test runs at Kornylak’s facility are useful not only to demonstrate performance of special pallets or loads in a specific environment, but also to determine the lowest cost rail configuration capable of meeting all conditions. Such test may be witnessed. However, if you are unable to visit, we can videotape the test for your review.

Five key pieces of information for planning your Palletflo system: pallet description, load description, environment, space available, and storage capacity desired.
  • Pallet description
    1. What type of pallet are you using?
    2. What is the configuration of the bottom of the pallet?
    3. What size boards are on the bottom of the pallet?
    4. What are the orientation and spacing of the boards?

  • Load description
    1. What is the maximum load weigh plus pallet weight?
    2. How stable is the load?
    3. What is the load height?
    4. Is there anything overhanging the pallet?

  • Environment
    1. What is the temperature range?
    2. How humid is the environment?
    3. How dusty and dirty is the building?

  • Space
    1. How big is the area?
    2. How high is the ceiling?
    3. Are there any obstruction such as columns, ducts, pipes and exits?

  • Storage capacity
    1. What is the number of loads?
    2. How many bays wide?
    3. How many tiers high?
    4. What is the length of the lane?
    5. How do you propose to replenish and remove loads?
Once you have determined the type of pallets you are using and the maximum load weight, you can determine the type of Palletflo rails to use. To design the type of Palletflo rails needed visit the rail design page.
